On this page we pay tribute to a few of the special ponies who have had such an influence on our stud, as well as providing us with some of our most memorable show ring performances.
The bloodlines of these outstanding individuals remain at Woodview today through their progeny and continue to achieve success not only in the show ring, but in harness, under saddle and at Pony Clubs throughout Australia. |

Woodview Justin (dec)
Black Stallion
9.1 1/2hh 1987-2005
Sire: Redacres Jonathon
Dam: Millbrae Sunrise
|
Woodview Justin was a small stallion who made a big impact at our stud. One of the highlights of Justin's show career was being awarded Champion Stallion at the 1996 Royal Melbourne Show.
Justin was much sought after by breeders, producing quality Shetlands with gorgeous heads and his beautiful temperament. His progeny has excelled both in the show ring and at stud, and include Millbrae Jeremy (sire of the lovely Lynvale Lodge Jubilee), and more recently the successful young stallion Maylaura Debonair. Another of Justin's son's was awarded Grand Champion Pinto under 10.2hh at the Vic. Pinto Championships and has commenced a successful harness career.
Justin sired two lovely foals in the 2004 stud season including an gorgeous filly, Woodview Trinket who will be retained at stud as a broodmare for the future. He is sadly missed by all who loved him. |

Summertime placed at Sydney Royal under an International judge at her only major show to date and has been retained at Woodview where she is producing gorgeous foals including Woodview Summer Fantasy - Champion Shetland Mare, Barastoc HOTY 2009.

Millbrae Sunrise was shown successfully as well as being a superb broodmare. She was a lovely feminine mare with an exquisite head as you would expect from a daughter of the influential Fairway Raffle. Sunrise produced seven lovely foals for our stud, including our three show-ring stars, Woodview Justin and his half-sisters Woodview Springtime and Woodview Sprite (also a Vic APSB Stud Show Champion). Her influence can be seen in the stud today through her granddaughters and their progeny. |

Amber is now owned by Glen Ardan Shetland Stud and has successfully commenced her showing career. Exquisite passed away in early March 2008 and will be sadly missed. |

These two lovely old mares remained at Woodview Stud having produced many quality foals over the years. They both retired from the broodmare ranks and enjoyed their retirement. Theresa's daughter, Aakina Teagan, has been brought into the stud to retain her bloodline. Both mares were successfully shown in their younger years with Theresa being awarded Reserve Champion mare at the 1987 Victorian Stud Show. Rebecca was a consistent winner in hand, and later under saddle, at Melbourne, Sydney and Canberra Royals.
